Halloween!!

Birthday Star

Hi, today i wanted to share with you a card i made for my dads birthday.
My dad loves old motorbikes so  i am afraid this was the only image i had available which isn't Stampin up but i think they complement each other wonderfully!!

This an easel card, i hadn't made one of these until recently but they are becoming one of my favourite types of card, very easy to do and very effective!

I really need to sort myself somewhere light to take my photos but its work in progress! well i will be back later to let you know the materials i used on this card as i am off to see my sister today but need to bath my very own little dirt girl first...shes been playing outside and just loves mud...hope you all enjoy your weekend what ever you decide to do, the weather in Bedford today is wonderful!! bye bye for now.

Peterborough Swaps......

Hello!! Just thought that while I am waiting rather impatiently for my starter kit to arrive, that I would share two swap samples I made for our recent training event in Peterborough.

These are made using Love note cards and I think they would go really well on a present as a gift tag, or even a bunch of flowers?

I just love the Good neighbours stamp set, all the little houses made me feel like doing a whole street!!

Please excuse the background, light was fading fast and I was eager to get these onto the blog so I had to take the photo in the garden on my potting table with all my fruit and veg for my allotment in the back ground!

Supplies used

Bold brights markers for house card images and bashful blue on the baby card

Card stock - Whisper white, Bashful blue, old olive, Pale plum and sage shadow.

Stamp Sets - Good Neighbours from the Sale a Bration promotion, Out of the box hostess level 1 gift and a Jumbo roller swirling stars

Also used was the eyelet border punch, corner rounder and the tiny tags punch for the keyrings

Hi, I just wanted to add that although I have added the Stampin Up! catalogue to my site, I cant take any orders yet, but feel free to browse and I will update you as to when I become active to order from....

Hello!! I am back at long last

Hi, I have finally found a reason to use my blog as it should be used and without excuses....I have taken the plunge and signed my self up to become a Stampin Up! Demonstrator  (Wibble) I am so excited and nervous at the same time and i want to share my ideas, thoughts and work with you.

Hopefully to give you some inspiration as I love to search through others blogs for food for thought! I could and do spend hours online admiring the things some very talented people come up with.

Any way, enough chatting and hopefully I will be back soon with something to share. I cant wait for my starter kit to arrive!

Christmas Cheer!

This is the first card to our blog made by me (lins).

I absolutely love this ginger bread man, i found the templates and stamps while in my local craft shop and had to have them, then got them home and thought, well what to do with them?

it took a while for inspiration to come, he looks fab on his own, but how to put him on a card!!

Anyway, i made this card using a template for the ginger bread man and stamps to add features and colour, i chalked the edges which seemed to bring him alive.

Ive used basic grey papers from the fruitcake collection as a simpe background and backing for this little man. The white icing is using liquid applique to add dimension. i then stamped the word sugar and spice, which i think kinds makes the card, as this is what ginger bread men have in their ingredients!!

anyway, i hope you enjoy viewing my first posted card, welcome to our blog! (not too sure on my scanner seems to add a green hue to the picture? sorry!!)
